Originally from Western Canada, Dr. Daniel Rowan pursued his higher education at Norwich University in Vermont, thanks to a hockey scholarship. He earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in biology and sports medicine before completing his Doctor of Optometry (OD) from the New York College of Optometry in 2001.
His clinical experience includes rotations at a VA hospital in Queens, with a focus on glaucoma treatment, as well as work at an outpatient eye clinic in the Bronx. After graduation, he relocated to Nevada, where he has built a reputation as one of Reno's leading optometrists. He holds membership in the American Optometric Association and is board-certified in the treatment and management of eye diseases by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry.
Together with his wife Amy and their three children, Dr. Rowan has called Reno home for two decades. Outside the clinic, he is an avid golfer, camper, and fisherman. He takes great pleasure in watching his children engage in sports and is a dedicated fan of various sports, including supporting the local Wolf Pack team.
